Architecture – Design Studio 1

Architecture Design Studio 1 is an introduction to spatial logic covering the constructs of tangible and ephemeral space, its activation through performance. Starting with the body and then the grid, through space experiments, students are introduced to organisation through the plan/section/elevation, meeting ground, light + shadow, wet + dry. These experiments are applied to a micro program brief + site on Country. Students are exposed to precedents from Art and Architecture and are introduced to the conceptual framing of their ideas.
