Bachelor of Design in Interior Architecture
Focusing on the future of Interior Architecture in an era of environmental, social, and technological change, this degree takes a research-led approach to equip students with the skills and knowledge to lead in this dynamic and expanding field. Interior Architecture at UTS is a three-year undergraduate degree with an optional fourth-year honours program. The main thematic areas of the program include: social justice, the urban interior, performative spaces, interior lighting design, theories of representation, and the history of interior architecture. Working with academic and industry experts, students learn to create interior spaces, set and performance designs, atmospheres, experiences, and master plans, from the scale of the body to the scale of the urban interior. Critical speculation is combined with a practice-based hands-on approach to enable students to use design to advocate and innovate for their future.
